I had read something about the importance of the additions made by the Turks, especially the external support units and minarets. This article said that if these additions had not been made, Hagia Sophia would have been demolished long ago. Does anyone have knowledge about this?

There is a beautiful saying in Turkish: A hungry chicken thinks it is in a wheat bin... This is a saying for all the poor people, especially the Greeks, the spoiled children of Europe, who still dream about Istanbul and still accept Hagia Sophia as a church. Those lands have been Islamic lands for hundreds of years and Hagia Sophia is a mosque.
