"in the country of Istanbul"? It's in Turkey. The city is Istanbul! If they get that simple thing wrong, what other errors are there?

The narrator should have said the words "Hagia Sophia" more often. 13 times a minute wasn't enough for me.

This is not an accurate version of history at all. You "forgot" to mention about what Western catholics did when they conquered Constantinopol and Agia Sofia. When they said that they want to fight the Muslims, but ended taking and destroying Constantinopol, and plundering the city.

*With such criticism in the comments saying there are many serious inaccuracies, I'm not sure I can trust this video. But your presentation makes it "seem" accurate.*

Constantine I died in 337 AD. The last Greek Orthodox Liturgy was prayed in Hagia Sophia on January 19, 1919 by the grace of God.

Milet and Trales were cities. Turkey did not exist at the time of the construction of the Hagia Sophia. As it is today, it is the region of Anatolia Minor. All the construction material was brought from the provinces of the Eastern Roman Empire. Even from existing Temples and buildings across the empire.

The drawings on the walls and roof are Greek orthodox and it will always be a Orthodox Church

It is crazy after fall of Hagia Sophia how Ottomans was destroying and converting churches next 1500 years. Especially on Balkan. We have a new Sophia now. Saint Sava Church Belgrade. :)

Hagia Sophia grand Cathedral, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the Seat of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople in the early Byzantine Empire for almost ten centuries (Head of the Greek Orthodox Church and Eastern Orthodoxy), situated now in the Greek district of St. George’s Cathedral in Constantinople.

Hagia Sophia was succeeded by the Church of the Holy Apostles (1453–1456), Pammakaristos Church (1456–1587), Church of the Panagia Paramythia (1587–1597), Church of St. Demetrius Xyloportas (1597–1601) and finally St. George Cathedral to this day. A continuous presence of Greek Orthodoxy and culture, a universal heritage and legacy, the unique Byzantine Architecture and music (Chants) that were developed in the Byzantine Empire are a treasure for humanity.

Christian tourists, not only Orthodox, may also visit the Chora Church, famous for its outstanding Late Byzantine mosaics and frescos.

The Sumela Monastery in the Pontic Mountains (Tentative UNESCO World Heritage Site), standing since 386 AD, is one other masterpiece of Byzantine Architecture and a sacred religious monument for us Greeks.

Only one thing on this earth took my breath away and that was being inside Hagia Sophia. I felt the presence of God on earth. It is a divine structure.

The sheer number of mistakes, be they historical, grammatical, or of pronunciation, make this video hard to watch. The COUNTRY of Istanbul? It's a city. The Emperor stepped down and...was no longer the King? No, he was no longer the Emperor. Please at least read over your script before you start recording. I rarely comment on videos but this is unreal.

The building is a landmark in the evolution of architecture. I frankly don't care what imaginary god is being prayed to in it, so long as the devotees take the preservation and care of the structure seriously.

Really? you lost credibility with me at the 25th second mark. "Situated in the country of Istanbul".

Beautiful Church. Yes, it’s a church no matter what they do or how many minarets they add to it.
