This is awesome. So glad Mark got to go in and talk to inmates.

Addiction doesn’t belong in the prison system. Same cycle without any change. System needs change.

I grew up with a family from Kentucky, kind & warm…good hearted people. It’s been so long since I’ve heard that drawl, didn’t realize how much I’ve missed it. Brandon’s vibe is near identical to them. You can tell he’s holdin on strong behind bars. Peace & love B❤ thanks so much for this interview Mark, quality work the way you respectfully show their lives on camera♥️

I find the prison interviews fascinating. I would love to see an interview with someone on death row

I love how he ended it, his most important advice is to take each day as it comes and whenever u see your parents/loved ones make sure u tell them u love them because u never know when u may see them again !!

I’m a corrections kitchen supervisor and it’s so hard hearing all these stories first hand and having absolutely no way to help. So I do what I can and I give them good tasting food… a little hope to keep going.

I really thought these interviews couldn't get better, but the addition of captions makes it touch more sparkly

I volunteered at the local jail for a while, and it was always drugs and alcohol. Like, literally every person I ever met there. Either dealing, stealing to buy or violence because of. It's crazy.

I love how criminals say they “caught a charge”. Like it’s a cold.

Edward Norton could play this guy pretty well.

My son is 20 has an Iq of 68 he has been sitting in jail since February 21st violation of probation and caught up with the wrong ppl ALL i want is help. He's locked down 23 hours a day my boy may be facing prison AND All I want is help he's going to be homeless and on the streets or in prison or dead if someone does not help me. Him & I applied for disability in December he actually has an appointment on Tuesday, that we are gonna miss & has an appointment for a mental health evaluation on the 20th of June. I just need a lawyer a judge someone to freaking care Kamryn is in his own world he was born with pulmonary stenosis. He's got PTSD bipolar and I'm almost positive schizophrenia I just need someone to care and see that my child needs to be put in a facility a place that will teach him life skills a place where he can get his GED. NOT jail

I lost my mother last March. And I can’t tell you how real those words are. Make sure when you see your mother and father you tell them you love them cause that may be the last time you see them. I miss her everyday

This interview was fascinating in many ways, not least linguistically. In Brandon's narrative, one hears the pure sounds of Appalachia.
