Tony is the prime example of a dude who gets respect bc he's just "the man"
He never had to make an example out of anybody to get respect from everyone including the guards but rather everything he did was leading by example . He always made the right decisions and for that reason people trusted him. And for the same reason he was too well respected to ever play with because he wouldn't have to get at you himself. Someone would put that work in.
