Novak honestly seems like a dude that really has been through it. He made his mistakes, bad ones. But he ultimately came out of it a sober man and I’m glad to see he’s getting the respect he deserves. Good shit Novak.

Jails are county, penitentiary is state. You can be in jail 3-5 years in the more extreme cases

They’re all so freaking well adjusted now! (Ones taking a bit longer to come around- but it’ll happen) It’s crazy. Love all these dudes.

Novak is a great man, I saw a video where he gave his number to call if your struggling and dude answered my phone call and listened to all my shit for thirty minutes and did what he could to help me get clean. Unfortunately wasn't ready at that time but I have a year and a half now

In Canada, 2 years is prison, and what they call "2 years less a day" is "provincial jail."

So in the US you can do your prison (state) time within the county jails. The state will pay the county (jail) to house you. You are still technically under state supervision by the board of pardons, doing your time in the county jail.

You can be in a county jail for over a year, if you're waiting for your court date and the state keeps coming at you with deals that you don't want to take.. 😩

that's a county bid, 11 1/2 - 23

30 weekends and 6 months house arrest- the rich (celebrity from Jackass) white guy sentence

Yeah, it's a bit different here in the UK. My 1st sentence was 5.5 years...I did 3. If your sentence is over 4 yrs it's a parole sentence, where u have to apply for it, might not get it, infact the vast most lifers dont get their 1st parole. If its under 4yrs, its a standard sentence where ya get our after half of it. My 2nd sentence many years later was only 6 months, therefore I did 3, then some on ankle tag, can't remember how long tho, but wouldn't b more than the 3 mths left, but I don't think it was THAT long. And then, I fked up (cant remember if it was tag or probation) & went bk to jail for 2 wks, which of course, the armed cops HAD to be d*cks & come find me & take me a few days b4 Xmas, so I missed Xmas & New Year! But this classed as the same sentence. And if any1 is under 21 when they're sentenced they go to a Young Offenders prison or wing specifically for YOs in an adult prison, where they're separated from us...and a lot of the time, YOs can be worse cos they're all trying to prove something, so they're kicking off n fighting all the time. I'm glad I missed that, my 1st sentence was when I was 21...so only just missed it.😂 Don't get me wrong there's still trouble in adults but they're just mostly not about acting a fool all the time for pointless reasons.

You can actually be in jail for up to 5 years on consecutive misdemeanor sentences

BY DEFINITION YES, that being said it CAN absolutely vary state to state. Ex: my state has a jail, that has had dudes that should be in prison, they've been there for 5 years in a county jail. They're all very dangerous, and definitely shouldn't be in that little ass jail.

I've seen people in county for years.
