The calmness in him saying "I'm almost dead" jesus man no kid should accept that let alone even think about death

The "calmness" in his voice says a lot that he didn't have enough oxygen and trying to stay alive as long as he can

they should take every call seriously, even if it’s suspected to be a prank

He didn't sound scared at all. He took it like a champ and accepted the inevitable. That is admirable, may he rest in peace 😞

This is one of the saddest stories I ever heard still think about it after 5 years, how preventable this death was is insane. Absolutely Heartbreaking.

This boy was so courageous and selfless. He did not let fear take over while facing death and made sure his mom knew that he loved her. We can learn a valuable lesson from this boy when facing our own mortality. It's going to happen to all of us and I pray that when my time comes I face it with dignity and my head held high.

I feel sorry for his parents, especially his dad. His dad mustve been devastated when he opened the trunk.

Belive it or no this kid was actually my neighbor and I was 8 at the time he passed. When I first found out couldn’t believe it he was this amazing kind kid who didn’t deserve to die this way we will always remember him in our hearts and everyday when I walk into his yard I know it will never be the same. Rest In Peace Kyle :(

As a dispatcher, you do NOT question anything and must assume every call that comes in is an emergency.

If that was my child, those recordings would haunt me... my heart absolutely breaks for his parents. May God give them the strength they need to bare their grief.

"Thought it might be a prank"

These dispatchers all over the country need to start being held accountable for their inappropriate actions while on the job especially when it contributed to the death of the victims calling for help. Administrative leave and or being fired isn’t a appropriate consequence for their actions as being apart of a first responders Honestly monthly each departments should be reviewed to weed out the inappropriate responses and unprofessionalism some of these people make once again leading to deaths and major delays getting a victim help once they call for

I would've called my mother. She's so crazy protective she would've leveled everything in the way until she found me.

Poor kid. Rip
