Simple Car Camping

Camped overnight at a beautiful free campground!

To make camping life easier on the road I've set up my car to have a half bunk in the back with a small table (shoe organizing rack) to use as a desk and table to put my laptop on. I have a 100 amp hour lithium iron phosphate battery to provide me with enough power to run a coffee maker and lighting. My bed is leveled out with some pine boards and shims so I can sleep level. The whole camping setup can be removed in minutes to return the car to normal.

For those that missed it, Steve posted a note on Instagram that some things came up he had to deal with and he will be back when he can.
I hope Steve is ok. Between losing his wife and recently his mother, he has a lot to deal with. He seems to be the kind of person hit hard by these kinds of things. Hang in there, we are rooting for you!

Steve, dealing with loss is the most challenging thing a person can go through, especially during the holidays. I lost my mother when I was a boy, the day before Thanksgiving. Twenty years later I still get teary eyed just thinking about her. I can’t say it gets easier with time but you do eventually learn to accept it for what it is. Please know in your darkest of days that you are loved and admired by so many people. Take care Steve.

I quit drinking alcohol Saturday after a moment of perfect clarity. Been both a rough but eye opening week. So to have a brand new camping video as I hunker down in bed out of the cold has lifted my spirits up.

The "glowing like the metal on the edge of a knife" to "smells like meat loaf" transition is masterful! Knocked it out of the park, again!

I know in the past you've expressed how you feel like you always have to one up your last big stealth camp. I'm here to Camp with Steve, no matter how simple or extravagant. Came for the crazy camps. Stayed for the simple ones.

Another easy meatloaf recipe.... hamburger meat, box of stuffing mix slightly crushed, 1/8 or 1/4 ketchup, 2 tbs mustard, salt and pepper. ❤ Love Camping With Steve 🍁

Sorry Steve, you are stuck with me. I figured after the flu and with the holidays you deserved a break. Not to say that you weren't missed. Your videos make a difference. They don't make world peace but do give us a place to come and take shelter. Thanks for being here for us Steve.

Man the fact that you’re helping someone else ask a person to marry him is just an absolute testament to the type of man you are. We all love ya Steve and we’re here just like you’ve been here for us. Thank you Steve.

Cooking Meatloaf and describing car headlights reflecting as ‘glowing like the metal on the edge of a knife’ - very clever for all the MeatLoaf fans. Well done.
