Very interesting video like all your videos I have been camping for about 40 years but in tents caravans and a campervan but I've always had a toilet or porta loo what do you do about going to the bathroom?

When there is a dream there is always a way to make it into reality. You have done well and you are enjoying life through photography and exploration while travelling. It is a good life and an adventure, stay with it and create joy in living. Bravo. Cheers from the Pacific Northwest USA.

I'm stateside and my partner has surprised me with your 2022 calendar as a birthday gift. Crackin' excellent, Henry! You're an inspiration.

It's good to see some photographers on a budget mate, as much as I love - Let's just leave them nameless superstars - Stoat up to an area in a flash van all kitted out with everything from a house and beyond, it's good to see yourself and others struggling for the art. Especially love the Hoops on the rear view mirror too!

Very minimalist Henry.
You could do with a power bank for your fridge & charging your gear etc.

Hi ! With all the soiling & pollution problems caused by a 'significant' number of VW & smaller campervans - that don't carry toilet facilities. How do you manage urine & / or faeces ? There is a huge problem with people urinating / defecating / leaving soil bags around - how do you avoid becoming one of them ? Taking Waternish in Skye - for example - there is a huge problem around the ancient church & old buildings & the locals have to deal with unpalatable amounts of human excrement. We spoke to local people who are dismayed by the situation.

Been looking forward to this one. Going car camping next week in Scotland in my Peugeot with my sister. Can’t wait. And we made our window inserts this week too for privacy and insulation

I am so glad you actually did this. I was thinking about going 'wild' camping at some-point for the first time. But my wife was not keen on me doing that and in the UK there has been a massive clamp-down by National Park authorities and police to stop people from camping. Car-camping does appeal to me. I think my Ford B-max may allow for this. So this gives me 'food for thought' ....even my wife turned round whilst watching this video and said that it was a better idea than any solo 'wild' camping notions I had.

🇨🇦/🇺🇸... Hey there, Henry! Playin' a bit of catch-up with various videos... gettin' behind. This is golden, bro. Excellent. No conversion vans in my near future so car camping is all I've got. It seems you've done your homework and it looks like you've got it down pat! Have fun! Cheers, bro!

When space is a premium, items which are multi functional work best. You could make a table from the box used for storing food. Rig up a small tarp or poncho attached to the tailgate for a more sheltered cooking area. Keep the poncho in your car because if you forget your coat then you have an emergency rain cover. Carry plenty of cordage and a roll of duct tape, it has thousands of uses.

How nice to hear a man say duvet instead of blanket. Great video Henry but I just can't wait to see them sheep! Have a great week.

Good video but I worry about you having pillows on your new 12v cool box. Pretty sure the vents are on the lid for a reason. Keep on with the wonderful photographic adventures.

Hi Henry- dont know whether its been said previous- your front passenger seat folds flat (catch on bottom rear of seat) this enables me to sleep length of car rather then scrunched up much better! just need bit of board to bridge the gap -All the best

I bought a VW T6 3 years ago with this in mind. 2 years ago we did a tour of Scotland in a hired motor home, that was superb. This summer we hired the same again to tour England, but this time we noticed a huge difference in where we could just pull over and stop, many many more restriction with reviews saying people were getting knocks on the windows from police telling them to move on.
If you can do it, it’s superb to drive somewhere the previous evening then wake up on site for an early start. I have those two same books on Scotland 😁

Nice little set up for you Henry, looks like you have got it how you need it. One tiny bit of advice and that is run you Air Con constantly whether it be Summer or Winter, sleeping in you car and getting in and out when damp creates a lot of moisture, your air con will get rid of it. It might hit your fuel consumption slightly but will pay off big time in the long run and stop the car misting up all the time 😉 A decent camper is more like £30k
