A family says they were pulled from a Delta flight because their son had head lice. Lara Travis noticed her son, Lincoln, 6, was itchy on a recent flight from Paris to Minneapolis. His dad, Fox Sports analyst Clay Travis, says flight attendants freaked out when they caught wind of the situation. "Zero indication of [lice] at all until halfway across the Atlantic Ocean," he told Inside Edition. He says the airline refused to allow the family to get on their next flight to Nashville. #InsideEdition

Mmm... I mean that's kind of a problem....especially in such a small space filled with people in close proximity...

i think this airline did the right thing. i would not want to be sitting next to someone who has lice. and im sure the people who called for the medical exam didnt scream it out for the whole airport to hear.

I don't blame the airline . I don't want to be on a plane with a kid who has lice

I'm sorry, but that dad needs to stop his blubbering. I'd much rather have the flu than lice. Also, security should have taken him to a private area to check him out.

Lice is contagious and can spread in a matter of seconds. The airline definitely handled this situation correctly.

I mean... I wouldn't want to be on a flight with a child who had lice. Let the kid have the simple exam and get on your way. The lice could get into the fibers of the seat and spread to the next passengers. He just wanted to get on the news :/ They did the right thing looking out for their other customers. The lice treatment wouldn't have taken long and this didn't have to be big news. For once I actually agree with how it was handled.

Airlines doing the right thing for once?

The dad is an attention seeker. Delta did the right thing here. Like the dermatologist said, lice can spread through clothing. So the lice can spread through the fibers of the seat and spread to the next passengers.

I think they should've been kicked off too how can you let that spread to the other passengers

I kind of understand what he means but I also don't understand why he's upset about being kicked off for lice. Like nobody wants lice lmaooo

I mean they were right. Lice is contagious and if there is up to 50 people. Stop being an attention seeker

I do believe that the airline took the appropriate measures in dealing with the lice situation.
1) I wouldn't want to be in close proximity to a person who has lice in a cramped and crowded place
2) What if the lice gets embedded into the fibers of the chair? Once the airplane lands at its destination and all the fliers deplane, the plane is then immediately prepped for its next flight out. I wouldn't want the lice to be carried over to the aircraft's next destination; more so the passengers. I do hope that Delta cleans their planes well.

Nevertheless, the medical examination seemed necessary to prevent further contamination. The father should have gotten his child over it.

i guess this guy wants people to be outraged or something, i applaud the airline. an airplane is a really small space and anyone can catch lice easily...

I’m on the airline’s team. Lice is SO contagious

And yet the parents will play victim anyway... okay, I didn't know the assurance of good health amongst the general public was such a sin to a mom and dad of one measly son. They care about nothing but their own grief
