personally i just started yesterday and i have no control over my tension whatsoever. so for me i wrap the yarn in my pinky, out my index, in my middle finger, and wrap once around my pointer finger! I think it helps with my tension but each to their own!

Ive never wrapped my yarn around any fingers, I just kind of hold it and ive never seen anyone else do it the way I do🤷🏼‍♀️

Personally I just put it in between my middle and pointer finger, it’s easier for me that way and just pinch it a little for tension, and since it’s your two fingers that work pretty well with coordination you can wrap the yarn too

I've been crocheting for decades. I never wrap the yarn around any fingers like that. That would slow me down and be uncomfortable.

Have to hold yarn in right hand like I do for knitting. Have tried so many times to do it with left hand, just can't manage it.

Interesting. I dont wrap it around any finger. I use my index finger and thumb to hold my work and have the working yarn between index and middle finger then out the bottom underneath my pinky. Kinda like how you ball up your hand to pinch something

I personally don't hold my yarn on my hand I just put my finger in the middle of the tail and working yarn wand pinch the tail it's super simpe
