1️⃣ you’re not prepping it correctly. using a lightweight hairspray and/or texture spray before you curl will help the curls last longer. if you have a fine/thin hair, i recommend spring each section before you curl it. ⁣

2️⃣ you have too much product in your hair. i always recommend starting with a smaller amount and adding more as needed⁣
⁣
3️⃣ you are brushing or touching the hair too soon. it’s important to let the hair cool completely so that your curls or hold their shape.⁣

I think my hair type just isn’t built for curling honestly. I have really fine smooth straight hair and it can’t hold a curl for more than 2 minutes. It’s so annoying but oh well.

My hair won’t curl because it’s type 1, pin straight, long, thick, heavy hair. Trust me, if there was something I could to to make it curl, I would be doing it already

I curl my hair (takes forever on my bleached, fine hair) but when I try to break up the curls after they are completely cool they go straight no matter what method! Wide toothed comb, brush, or just my fingers they go completely straight especially in the back & I look a hot mess! Help! I’ve tried just sort of shaking out the roots even and boom straight! And I’ve gotten mixed messages regarding sea salt spray, before or after??
