Beagles can actually be very quiet when they're digging an escape hole under the fence

My neighbours have two German shepards, they bark at EVERYTHING tend to wake up a beagle that lives next door who wakes up a husky living across them. The mornings here are lovely

"That can be heard from space" has been the truest sentence I've ever heard about beagles.

My neighbors have 3 beagles. Everynight is concert night. Symphony in Scream Mayor.

I currently own a Beagle/Siberian Husky Mix, and He has the screaming side from both of his parents. So I know how loud they can be.

They are great hiking companions, they can go for miles! Strong enough to pull you up hills, and yet small enough to carry if needed. 🐕🐕🥰🥰

😂 "People often confuse this for a dying animal, turns out it's not it's just a beagle living its best life." 😂😂😂

Beagles are also incredibly smart. Absolutely so much fun as a kid to play hide and seek with our dog in the neighboring woods. No matter how many circles you ran through the trails or how high up a tree you were he would ALWAYS find you. Our boy was taught from a young age "inside voice" which meant he would then would howl at a slightly more normal volume. But yes, we had animal control called on us a couple times when he was outside as the neighbors who couldn't directly see us thought that there was a dying out abused animal at our home. Best boy ever! Miss you Toby 🐾

Beagles scream sound like a bald eagle mixed with a jet airplane taking off x10

As a beagle owner myself, you forgot that they will also eat everything. Not just the stuff that hits the floor. You leave food on the counter and the table, they will find a way on to whatever surfaces and eat all of the thing on it not just food

I have a 4-year-old Poogle (Beagle/ Poodle mix). He did not bark until he was 7 months old. His first bark came out so loud it scared him.

Literally, my neighbor called asking if we were slaughtering cows on my property. No Marie, that's just my beagle Sarge. He thinks he's hunting groundhogs. 😂 True story.

My brother had 3 beagles. When they got “talking” to one another it was like being in the middle of a fireworks display on the 4th of July. The ringing in your ears was so severe that the noises around you would kind of blank out and just make that “off air tv whistle” even though it wasn’t really happening.
Yes, the three of them had long and loud conversations amongst themselves and it was hilarious….as long as you had earplugs or headphones on at the time. 😊❤😂

About 20 years ago, I worked in a vet's office as the kennel associate. Which basically meant I made sure the cages were clean and I cleaned the dog yard while letting dogs out. AnyWho, at one point there was three huskies and two beagles along with about 20 other dogs in the big dog kennel. I had to wear hearing protection with the addition of earmuffs over the top and it was still louder than heck. However, the next day, I was blessed with a whole bunch of English bulldogs, who are kind of quiet and don't like to do much.😂

My first two dogs were beagles... We apologized to our elderly neighbor for their incessant vocalizing, but she said she loved it because it reminded her of the "biggles, " as she pronounced it, that she had as a kid. 🥰

I grew up with beagles so they hold a special place in my heart. Ours would bay excitedly whenever we came home. They would throw their whole body into it, and their feet would usually come off the ground. The sound of a beagle baying is my favorite sound in the whole world. Yes, it can be heard from a mile away, and it brings me joy when I'm lucky enough to hear it ❤️

I'm 24 and have lived with beagles my whole life. I love them dearly and yes, I can confirm that you can hear them in space. I've gotten calls from astronauts complaining about it

Sound can’t even travel in space because there is no medium for it to act through. Which means that beagles scream enough to push air into space.

My beagle does to the different barks, but I've noticed all his different noises mean different things. The screaming "dying animal" bark is only used when he's actively chasing something thar is running away from him, like a cat in the yard.
Baying, like when they start a bark and forget how to stop, he does as an alarm because he saw a person or dog or something but he cant get to it, like in the street or over the fence.
Sharp single bark means he wants me to do something, like let him in the house or get a toy from under the couch. There's more, too. 😂
