Anyone complaining about the pain of having a root canal done should know that if you have a good dentist, root canals can be painless. It's the pain that causes you to go to the dentist you should be worried about. I cannot describe to you how much that hurts. It's really incredible. I've broken bones, taken falls, got stabbed once. It's nothing compared to tooth pain.

I actually got a root canal and my back tooth looked exactly like this. I was eating ice one day and I was biting on big chunks of ice and all of a sudden I felt this weird pain in my tooth, turns out that the ice broke my tooth in half and that’s when a cavity started to form. Since I didn’t go to the dentist for 2 years ever since that happened to my tooth, my cavity got bigger and bigger and it turned into that!!! So it started hurting a lot more to the point where I couldn’t eat certain stuff. So when I went to the dentist after 2 years of not going, I found out that I had 10 cavity’s. So after 5 appointments, all of my cavity’s were cleaned out and filled in. The root canal appointment took 4 hours to complete and after that, I felt so amazing!!!! That was 9 months ago, now I have braces, next week I’m getting an expander to expand my top jaw and I’m getting my top teeth braces wire on the same day. It’s gonna be so painful but I’m so glad that I’m finally getting my teeth taken care of every week.

This is your friendly reminder to please take care of your teeth, brush and floss everyday or you could have 10 cavity’s like me. It depends on how your teeth reacts because some people don’t get cavity’s at all but still brush your teeth please!!!! And always go to the dentist when you have to and don’t skip any appointments!!!❤❤❤

I had one root canal on tooth 13 in 2013. I was scared but it all went well.
I'm middle-aged, so I remember how traumatic it was for adults in the 1970s & 80s. Thankful for dental progress!

Having an expensive root canal done recently I will say that whatever pain and discomfort you have during the process is 100% better than not getting it done.
