Funny because I was told I should get braces to push my teeth back because my perfectly straight teeth cause my full lips to pucker too much, and I guess in the early 2000s large puckered lips were not "in style".

I have small lips. My ortho decided to keep most of my overbite because if he had pulled my teeth back so they were straight down, my lips would be sunken in and I’d have a flat profile. So my teeth are straight across but I still have an overbite

My lips actually went from thin to thicker because my lower jaw got shoved forward. Now it curls out and down, and every time I drink anything with a non-matte lipstick it gets on my chin. And sometimes when I go to drink from a cup I misjudge my seal on it and liquid runs out the corner of my mouth 😅

Bentist I was a trumpeter when I was in school and then I got braces. They gave me wax to put on my braces so I could play easier which in my opinion was worse so I started playing the trumpet with just my braces and no wax and once the braces came off, I had to basically learn how to play the trumpet all over again and for those who are wondering why I made this comment here on the lips was because you use your lips to play the trumpet

Mine are the same as before getting braces, my lips already went forward enough for the braces to not touch them at all
Same reason I was "allowed' to keep my lip piercings, they don't get even remotely near the brackets or my teeth lol

The difference is real. I didn’t recognize myself after I got my braces off. I felt ugly and my lips looked weird. lol Crazy enough that’s when I was being told I was beautiful the most often. Smh.
