I Asked An AI To Tell Me A Ghost Story...

Tonight I'm trying an experiment. I asked an AI to tell me a ghost story and it gave me 5 tales of AI generated horror for you to enjoy.

I’ve become fascinated over the past few months with the recent developments in AI. And I really wanted to explore what this could mean for horror as a genre. So I wanted to try an experiment, to see what Chat GPT would make of ghost stories. I gave it 5 simple prompts and then let it come up with a ghost story around that setting. The results range from terrifying to...a little odd.

So get yourself comfortable, and lets explore what AI thinks of the spirit world.

This was actually really interesting, I’d love to see AI become better at writing scary stories! It seemed to repeat certain phrases and I’m curious how it would turn out with an expanded vocabulary. I think it’s got an okay idea of what’s creepy at least lol

Interesting that one story is about a computer being possessed by a demon and another story is about the digital world receiving becoming slightly possessed by a human spirit.

I would say AI generated stories still have a ways to go before they have the same quality as human written stories, good video though, I'll be pressing that subscribe button now thank you very much

I've got to be honest, these stories were soulless and boring. You can't beat authenticity.

I spent only a half hour or so with ChatGPT developing a horror story and I was very happily surprised with how well it did

1. Jack, John, Sarah, Jack and John. Not very imaginative and the grammar and sentence structure reminded me of a kid.
2. Speaking of kids, this is the type of horror story i would've written when i was 10. With exception to #4
3. A lot of these stories say that peolle still talk about it yet how? No one survived to talk about it... Dude disappeared on the road. How did you know he was chased by a kid? What about the girl who touched the thing in the forest. If she never told anyone then how does everyone know the story?
Thankfully a writers job is safe from chat gpt.

Interesting experiment although the result is disappointing. It’s lazy writing, vague and dull. But then, at least you can be sure this channel won’t succumb to AI generated terror content anytime soon!
