honestly, i am probably my worst critic. i always see how shit my work is, and it gets tiring after awhile, you just wanna feel like you've improved for once you know? but the way you worded it in this video, i think opened my eyes. I've heard other artists say "compare yourself to other artists" before, but i would always get in a destructive mindset as a result. but you're right, these people aren't gods on some unobtainable podium, they're people, like you and me and everyone else, maybe. and they put in huge amounts of work that goes unseen, something i can do as well. thank you for the motivation mark. keep working.

Just binged 30 chapters of kaiju #8, which captures the message and energy of this video. Competiveness and resolve forces evolution and growth. I look at the story of kaiju #8, im like 8/10, I look at the art compared to berserk, my hero, jujitsu kaisen, it's a 6/10. The art is similar to the manwha the boxer or fujimoto chainsawman or fire punch. I look at kaiju #8 art and I'm like they're not that much better than me, my art is there now, or close to it with a few more months of refinement. one important thing to remember is that different artists have different speeds of improvement. i, for example, improve at the speed of a snail crossing a frozen ocean, while everybody else seem to be a ferrari on a straight road. however, i need to think that my improvement speed may be slow as ketchup coming out of a glass bottle, but at least there is improvement.as long as there is improvement, i am getting there. :)
