Home prices have gone up is because you can put rental houses in a 401(k) and collect rent from those 401(k)s. 401(k) programs for investors buy income property in person and to go! Ed Slot Started this idea about 15 to 20 years ago this reducing the availability of single family house!!!This has been a gold mine for 401(k) folders but the total travesty for first time homebuyers or rather ANY homebuyers!
