If the government puts you in jail by accident, you should get paid a million dollars a year for every year taken away from you. That money should come directly out of the DA's and prosecutors retirement funds.

I cannot understand nor accept any sort of reasoning why the company did not shut down the workplace and allow employees to go home or choose where they needed to shelter from this horrible hurricane. I place full blame for the loss of lives of those employees on rhe shoulders of the employers. The employers wait until flood waters started to rise in the carpark. Shame shame shame on this company

No way those employees at the plastic factory should have been working during the storm - management should have closed long before it was dangerous.

People need to be patient. All the volunteers are putting their lives on the line to help others.

The news needs to ask if insurance companies are stepping up to cover their customers in the Hurricanes path, and who is watching those insurance companies for fraud.

Impact Plastics, Inc in Erwin, TN should be ashamed of themselves!!! They should have dismissed employees as the rain/storm was beginning. Don’t get them there, n then trap them to their deaths !!! It’s unspeakable, unbelievable, atrocious management!!!
Sad Fact is: Many of these people will never be found due to the mud/muck & debris!!

I'm appalled how Virginia isn't mentioned in this. We had catastrophic flooding. Homes destroyed, roads and bridges left impassable. Monday night here and still no power here.

You can't rely on the government. Always be ready for a disaster survival kit.

I just saw those tempory venue hall trucks. I think they would be perfect for temporary shelters. Perhaps they could also move in portables (they use them for work camps up here) for housing while everyone works on clearing away the debris. After that's done, perhaps the people willing and able could work on assembling their prefabricated housing so they could have a home again sonner than later.

The African American man exonerated for a crime he DIDN'T commit; it shouldn't have happened in the first place. I hope he gets alot of money for the injustice.

Give me a break. Trump went there to campaign, and his comment proves it.
