Ari - thank you for what you do. I just tried to put a deal together with the dealerships own numbers and now they’re trying to reneg! They matched a deep discount on the new car from another dealer. Then I ran the KBB number on their own website and they initially told me they may be able to do better. I said I’ll be in tonight to sign. Now, they trade is worth $3k less because of the new car price!!!!

I told them I’ll post all of this on my google and Yelp review.

Word of advice: Keep your trade and new lease/finance deal completely separate. Treat them both as separate deals do not mix the two together.

Thanks for the tips! In the market for a new car right now and need all the help I can get. Are convenience packages negotiable? Say the 2020 Camry SE, want to upgrade to push to start and keyless entry. Don’t really want to pay the $1, 300 when it’s standard in the Accord.

Allstate does not offer gap insurance to individuals, it is done at the dealer. That's what our agent told us.

Ari, can you negotiate the interest rate on a lease as I understand dealers can and do bump the rate from the finance company.

Ha #6... unless you lease through Toyota Financial - they’re such a joke. When I leased a Highlander in 2016 GAP wasnt included and had no idea - because literally every other manufacturer includes GAP (even Lexus). In F&I they wanted $1, 000 for it bringing up my monthly $28 LOL. I told them they can kill the deal and not a chance I’m paying that. Ended up settling at $7 a month on it bc my car insurance didnt offer it (New Jersey Manufactures in NJ.... but offers GAP in Pennsylvania lol).

I have a question if I know what my credit score is I fall in tier 1 how would I know what my money factor would be?

Correct me if I am wrong, but these third party extended warranties are actually extended service contracts and they aren’t worth the paper they are written on.
