The Switch's longevity has been very impressive, the fact that Arlo's selections here will likely leave many dissatisfied is a testament to how successful this console has been

It’s really crazy that in November it’ll have been a decade since the Wii U launched. It really feels like every year gets faster and faster the older I get.

Hey Arlo, I just wanna saw how proud of you I am for putting out countlesa content despite all the stuff you personally go through. Don't forget about even the smallest of victories, and thank you for continually putting out all your fantastic videos!

Arlo is a man (or puppet?) of culture and I don’t doubt him for this half-a-decade for Switch review. Thanks for this, it’s going to be a good watch for tomorrow morning (in eastern time).

I love Stardew’s placement. It makes 8 year old me feel so validated for loving Harvest Moon so much as a kid. I always felt the odd one out, I barely knew anyone that even knew what the series was. That the formula still works present day and that someone cares enough about that style of game to take it to the next level still brings me immense joy

Sonic Mania is my personal pick.
I think it is such a perfect fit for the Switch, with it being both fast paced and easy to pick up and play.

I actually went out and bought every single Starlink toy once it was clear they were trying to clear out stock. I think it’s fun as heck.

The Switch has an incredible game library already, and I think sometimes we all forget since we're so focused on the new stuff. So it's important to look back and appreciate all the great games! Lots of great picks here, the indie scene is so amazing, and nothing beats Breath of the Wild!

I've to say that Mario & Rabbids is one of my favorite relatively new IPs Nintendo has announced since over a decade. So much charm, am excited for the sequel!

Stardew Valley being #1 on multiplatforms is well deserved. What an absolute masterpiece.

Shoutout to Starlink! I can't believe you included it in the top ten, the digital deluxe edition is a steal when it goes on sale

I really love astral chain personally as I really love the way the game uses the second analogue stick. I know it's not super mindblowing but I really love how platinum was able to use the second analogue stick for something other than the camera and actually use it for combat and it really made the game super interesting and unique.

I also love the Smash ultimates rumble feature. It uses it really well and it helps me a lot in the game. With the HD rumble, it helps a lot with knowing where I am in the stage and also gives a sense of how powerful my attack was.

Arlo ranking Arceus at number 5 REALLY makes me wanna hear his full review.

Personally my favorite Switch game is Super Smash Bros Ultimate, this game pulled together so many games and kinda of gamers into a celebration of video game history. The games whole life cycle was rich with fantastic reveals and fan moments we never thought would happen in a million years and it made it so magical. Nothing will ever beat the experience of being a Smash fan from 2018-2021 for me and for that reason and the fact that Ultimate is such an incredibly balanced and fun game, Ultimate is my favorite Switch game.

The Switch has been so friggin awesome! It single-handedly got me back into both console and handheld gaming.

Breath of the Wild's wonder cannot be overstated. Summer 2018, I would drop off my fiancée at class a couple times a week, and while she was in class, I would go to the parking lot, hook my Switch up to the car sound system, mount the Switch on my steering wheel, and experience magic for an hour and a half. Absolutely incredible experience.

Additional titles that were standouts for me, but not on Arlo's list:

1. Golf Story - an unexpected favorite for me. I adore this game.
2. MK8 DX - My first MarioKart game ever. I love it.
3. Mario+Rabbids - I'd never played a rabbids game before, because I always thought they looked irritating. But they pair perfectly with the Mario universe, giving me genuine laughs, and fun tactical gameplay.
4. DOOM 2016. Impressive port, and I love the gyro controls. I have it on PC and Xbox, but the Switch port is my favorite version of DOOM 2016.

My favorite Switch game is Fire Emblem Three Houses for sure. I’m super excited for Three Hopes to come out this summer, and I can’t wait for Advance Wars when that finally comes out!

In the third-party/multiplatform category, Hollow Knight is my pick for #1. I'm surprised Arlo didn't mention it!
