I LOVE this video idea. Not speculation or bait, just talking about some interesting opinions on all the stuff we have to be appreciative about

You left out one of my favorite action/adventure games ever, Astral Chain released on August 30th 2019.

2019 below 2020 is wild especially considering there were no directs during 2020

It's so hard to order this list. For me it's like this (worst to best): 2020, 2018, 2021, 2019, 2023, 2022, 2017. I would place 2024 probably between 2019 and 2023, but not sure yet.

THIS is the definitive list in gaming. Thank you switchforce. I just hope Nintendo uses this list as the official going forward

I call 2018 the year of super smash because from the moment it was announced at march people have been waiting for it the whole year .

2019 as the lowest year is just strange. Three Houses, Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokemon: Sword and Shield, Astral Chain, Mario Maker 2, Yoshi's Crafted World, Ring Fit Adventure. I'll grant you, there's no home run game that year, but that's a lot of doubles and singles. I wish every year could have quality variety like 2019. Only 2017 matches it on that level.

2020, on the other hand only had three new games all year. And honestly, two of them were subpar. If you weren't an Animal Crossing fan, you were nursing your back catalog.

Best games of each year for me:
2017: Mario Odyssey
2018: Super Mario Party
2019: Mario Maker 2
2020: Animal Crossing New Horizons
2021: Mario 3D World
2022: Splatoon 3
2023: Mario Wonder
2024: Mario Party Jamboree

3:16 this was the best pack, of super Mario 3D + bowsers fury and it was smaller stages and short.
But I really enjoyed it.

Pokémon sword and shield was probably one of the biggest disappointment announcements alongside bdsp and SV. Legends arceus was meh (not bad but not out of this world) LGPE was ironically a criminally underrated Pokémon game but yeah far from being the best.

I have the right to say, "If there was ever a year for the Switch, it would be 2022 or 2023, " as that was the year that their biggest award winners came out via Splatoon 3, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Mario and Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, Tears of the Kingdom, Pikmin 4, and Mario Wonder.

I know it is just his opinion but man, putting 2019 and 2021 low for having sw/sh and bdsp being "disappointments" and then 2018 higher with the let's go games 😂 nobody says those are bad for being remakes, it's because of the "pokémon go" gameplay
