Nintendo is smart they don’t announce a game until it’s practically ready to go. It feels great to have a game announcement and be able to play it within a year or 2. Instead of the other way in which games get announced when development is just starting and having to wait for a good 3-4 years just for it to get delayed an extra year and still end up releasing in a broken state.

has there been an actual rumor about Xenoblade X on Switch or is it just wishcasting? I know there have been actual rumors by reliable people on Twilight Princess and Wind Waker ports, but I've never seen one for XCX.

the post that leaked Engage also said there's a FE4 remake ready to go, so I think it'd probably be about right for it to release in late 2024.

XC3 was moved forward and the DLC was released at the earliest dates in the release windows. Also Nintendo is planning on a good year of Switch sales even with no Switch 2. That will only happen if they drop prices or games.

I believe if Microsoft wants to make gamepass successful, they need a Nintendo like approach for making sure they have games in the pipeline completed and ready to go and release in a way that makes people want to sign up that are not signed up and also keep subscribers paying monthly consistently. They have enough IP and studios to do it. We will see if they figure it out like Nintendo. Microsoft could just do releases alone of all the franchises they own from the Xbox OG to the 360 era and get some people in that way like all the JRPGs they own that were not popular during 360 and platformers as well

I don't think these rating dates mean that much. Looking through their database, most Nintendo games seem to get rated about 6 months prior to release, some more, some less. Even games that end up being delayed have similar patterns, so we can't say these games were necessarily done when they were rated.
