The biggest problem is that people really do see things in the now. To break that paradigm we need to see Moore's law to every known tech, especially energy generation. We have 4th and 5th generation nuclear reactors but have stopped building a replacing the old ones around the 3rd generation.

The environmental situation has become more and more complex. Most people do not bother to look at even a fraction of the issues let alone put those factors together to see the big picture. We are too busy just trying to get by, so, it is really important to listen to people like David. This man is not motivated by money. He has had a great job for decades. He is extremely well informed and does see and understand, the big picture. Basically, it's suffer a bit now and a lot less later or, ignore this and really find ourselves in over our heads. Our choice.

Protecting the environment does help to protect the animals living in the ecosystem. Climate change is a natural force of nature that man tried to control. Tech has been allowed to manipulate Mother Nature & that is the real problem.

First time I'd seen this guy. Great interview and his approach is so very positive, which I think is needed.

When arguing with deniers, I find it's best to just ignore the science on climate change, ignore the whole climate change debate. they're not listening. Focusing on simply making a better world, technologically, is good enough to get off of dirty, toxic, fossil fuels. Challenging them to answer why America can't achieve a green and sustainable society.

I would love if Bill had asked him more about his ideas on changing our market paradigm.

Just like to share this with you: If you own a computer, if you post to this page, then you are benefitting from big oil. If you live in a house, you are benefitting from big oil.
If your house is heated by natural gas, if your coffee or bong was heated this morning, probably gas corporation made that possible. If you didn't walk today but took a bus, cab, whatever, then big oil made that possible. If you ate food that you didn't pick from you garden, it was delivered by big oil. If you didn't skin a wild animal to make your clothes, then it was delivered by big oil. If you rode the subway, that was made possible by big oil  If you went to the hospital on your bike made possible by big oil, then the lights and machinery that tended to you, you can thank big oil  If you reply to this post on your computer, the computer is made of oil, the wiring due to big oil, and if you get your connection by satellite, it sure didn't get up there by solar power.

David made a goose of himself on Australian TV when he had the podium on Q&A. He was barely aware of the haitus (IPCC's word) or pause in any rise in ave. global temp. and tried to promote other false ideas against a climate expert in the audience who worked in that field. He was clear on agenda but not to up on the real world facts.

What I'm waiting for among the alarmists is to finally quantify this supposed problem. If it is warming, by how much? Our satellites show no warming since the early 80s. So when it was warming, how much of that warming was man made vs natural recovery from the Little Ice Age. If this was science, and real, all of you should be able to do this.

we are in a cooling cycle that will last around 20 years, similar to the little ice age in the 1700s, once this 20 year period ends..

The more I watch this, the more Bill Moyers appears to be acting, and the role is a bad version of himself.
