How and When to Expand Your Empire

Campaign Guide for Total War Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires. This series will cover the basics of how to play TWW3 on the campaign map. This video is done to be a guide that will apply to most factions but will use the High Elves because they are the simplest race.

I saw this playing warhammer 2 as Kroq gar. You can expand really fast taking the jungle kingdom and the silver hosts' region. But as soon as you take the silver hosts' region Clan Mors takes notice of you and everytime you get two - three armies of fully stacked skaven to worry about. You can spend the campaign completely untouched by malus dark blade but the moment he's encountered he's raiding your port settlements. Similar with the orcs. One game i managed to ally with khalida. Khalida decided to go on a conquest spree of the northern regions. Grimgor and Snikch beat her back and steam rolled her down to her home region with me as the casualty x.x.

I'd add that it depends on which faction you play. Factions like Skaven prefer to build tall and farm food early on, while the Greenskins want to absolutely steamroll as much as possible with their early game superiority while building only piles of shiny stuff to get immediate profit and not caring about defending most of their territory while the Waaagh is going.

This is one of the things I always get wrong and expand too aggressively, then lose a lot of fights.

I just run around with my main stack sacking & occupying minors while just occupying majors and putting garrison buildings in them. I can retake any minors later and just focus on wiping out one faction at a time.

I build a few crap stacks to maintain my core provinces defenses and just let my faction leader roflstomp across the campaign.

I really like Cathay for this as you just have 3 entrences (not counting bastion) to defend for the entirety of Cathay, just keep an army at each opening in ambush stance, easy to get near 100%. You can then take out the mountains/badlands factions or take the boat to lustria and do whatever you want.

Yep this is what made me start winning. I was to aggressive early and just lost. Take it slow, you'll make it and they'll be alies left. 😊
