You should make guides on how to get each victory in civ6

Potato,

I drive my wife crazy with how much I watch your videos since I don’t have much time to play Civ. A few days ago, she had our son, who is currently in NICU due to being two months preterm. Even she has asked if we can just listen to your videos as it brings us the comfort of normalcy in a very hard time.

Thanks for being awesome,

Noah’s Dad

Been playing this game since it came out, but I love watching your over explained series! I get to learn something new to improve my gameplay every time. Thanks Potato for always producing great content.

At this point I watch these over-explained videos less for the actual tips and more for the enjoyment the explanations. I mean, I *know* where you're gonna put the districts, I just like to hear you explain it.

Was waiting for this to go to bed with!

While I am quite experienced in Civ, I am still amazed by the little things I didn't know you bring up (for example, the fortify-promote thing)
Really enjoy your content and your soothing voice, keep up the great work for us all strategy gamers :)

The tundra city to the south has an *insane* Industrial Zone. The bonus for Strategic Resources stacks with the one from Mines, so you can place an Industrial Zone next to two iron mines and a lumber mill down there for a huge boost to that city and Cempoala, which is not in range of the IZ to the north.

Hi Mr. Potato, I absolutely love these videos that you’re doing, please continue to make them! On a side note though, I usually watch you on mobile, and it does get kinda hard to see sometimes. I really miss the enlarged UI. Anyways though, keep it up!

I find it interesting that Potato is mentioning things like "it will work in single player not MP", "AI won't punish you for it like a player would" etc. For a long time he has been pretty much exclusively a single player afficionado but it seems like commenting on those several Pro MP games has really given him a new perspective. I wonder if those remarks might be a sign that Potato is actually interested in trying to play MP and we might see that kind of content here?

I started watching your old overexplained series when I first played the game. Really happy to have a new one, I'm surprised as to how much I'm learning still

Please edit with more care. @13:50 there is an explanation of placing a campus and then deleteing the campus from the production queue to set the cost, only the edit doesn't show how you deleted the campus from the queue. I know that you have explained many times in various vids, but having it always clear so a new player can slow the vid at the point it catches the attention is important. Probably 3 seconds of additional footage. Also it would be great to have a link to the tutorial vid that explains this mechanic in more detail placed in this vid, along with a time stamp where a mechanic is explained. That said, Patato - Awesome. I've been playing this game since 1996 and your vids are top notch and so helpful. Thank you.

Every time I take a break from civ 6, your videos get me excited to play again.

You, potato, are the primary reason I keep coming back to this game, and I appreciate you for it!

1:51 Okay I have to admit that it ISN'T GAME mechanics(though it SHOULD be) but it's something I learned(yet again!) that I didn't know before, I believe I use the same map tacks mod that he does! That makes this at LEAST 3 for 3, 3 videos and 3 things that I learned(one from each video so far). I don't know how Potato does it but he has found a near perfect balance between entertaining with his videos and educating with them, it's CRAZY!!!

Hey, I really love this because im a hardstuck tall player who refuses to make unoptimized cities, and this really really helps me break out of that.

Can you make a sister vid that isnt the khmer, on how to play tall properly, and when to do it?
I know it's much less optimal, but I'd like to see which victory types benefit most/least and the sort for my guilty pleasure of having 30 pop cities 😂

Hey Potato love your video's keep up the good work.
Just one more thing i was wandering of you were planning on changing the ui scale back to what you used before. I myself am a mobile viewer so i get my bias on this point

PS. I will still watch your video's i love them too much too stop.

I'd actually argue that that Emergency helps you.
That City was in danger of potentially flipping, now you have free +20 loyalty there for 30 turns. Plus, Korea is wasting Production to train units to throw into your defences instead of simming up.
And in future wars you will have a combat power bonus against Korea and 3 randos who are probably also wasting production on units right now and also wasting opportunity cost of moving them in your direction.

Getting a military emergency at the start of a dark age is actually pretty lucky, because the city being targeted gets a bunch of extra loyalty for the duration of the emergency!

Thanks, just started playing civ6 2 weeks ago and did learn something new with the industrialzone and factories affecting neighboring cities now I can stop creating all buildings in all cities. :)
