i love the chronology of the 18th dynasty and the development of the amun cult, their increase in power enhanced by each consecutive pharaoh until around amunhotep iii and akhenaten where they the priests are almost as powerful as the pharoah so akhenaten tries to disempower them... and fails

Have you read/any interest in reading, The Killing Moon by NK Jemison? It's a fantasy trilogy with fictional cultures that take a lot of influence from ancient Egypt (mostly the old kingdom I believe)

idk if you've ever heard of it but there's a documentary called "Exodus Decoded" that posits a theory that an historical version of Prince of Egypt happened with Ahmose in Ramesses II's place. I'm myself still not sure how seriously I should take it. A big point the film makes is he was Pharaoh when Santorini erupted, and that the effects of the volcano would've been akin to the plagues. It's a very interesting watch though I'm not sure how valid it's claims are.
