Uni-pass System Operation Introduction

The Korea Customs Service has continuously developed UNI-PASS. It began with the simple data entry system for customs and trade statistics in 1974.

Starting from 1994, the e-clearance system with the EDI (electronic data interchange) was developed, and in 2002 it was switched to the Internet web method from the EDI. In 2016, the 4th generation UNI-PASS which is equipped with mobile and smart clearance functions was launched, incorporating new ICT (information and communication technology).

In this sense, the UNI-PASS of the Korea Customs Service can be deemed as an accumulation of the 50 years’ of experience and knowhow.
