Love the details that explain Luke's actions throughout this entire scene: he's remembering the time he met Yoda and how he underestimated him by his size. THAT'S why he's the one mediating between the rebels and the ewoks. The reason why he's smiling is because he's realizing how right Yoda was, this is amazing subtle storytelling

I'll bet Mark wasn't actually intending on having Luke be struggling not to start laughing his ass off nor was it scripted, clearly it was a genuine on set reaction he had because of finding that part so freaking hilarious. Same with the part after where Han almost strangles 3PO after mentioning it's against his programming and not proper to imitate a deity and Han afterward saying "My mistake, he's an old friend of mine." and that makes it even better. His reactions to each of those just kill me every time as well as the way Ford says "proper" in that exaggerated manner.
