For a long time I thought Han saying “Jabba, you’re a wonderful human being” was supposed to be a joke, but when you realize at one point that line actually made sense it’s pretty interesting.

Whoa! Making Jabba a hologram is actually a really slick idea and good execution. Now he doesn't look so out of place and it makes sense as he probably wouldn't come all the way from his palace to Mos Eisley for such a relatively trivial matter.

This should have remained deleted.but I gotta say the decision to make Jabba a hologram in this scene improves it a bit.

Great solution for the 3 problems of this scene: the scale of Jabba, the direction of Solo's gaze, and the escalation on Jabba's tail

I like that the hologram Jabba screams for no reason when Han walks behind him.

It might have been harder to implement but I always thought having boba fett tell him it was his last chance would be a good way to introduce boba.

A fantastic solution to the walkaround. Jabbas a huge and important figure in the underworld and i doubt even for a 15% payback he'd allow any one to step on his tail regardless of how profitable Han has been in the past.

The idea that Jabba would leave his palace always sat weird with me so I actually like this hologram alot

Addressing the FAQ:

Also the reason Holo-Jabba lets out a yell of annoyance, isn't because Han stepped on his phantom tail, it's simply because Han waves his hand through the broadcast, making it distorted for both, who knows how loud the interference was on Jabba's end.

Also Also, for those complaining this scene is a Re-hash of Han & Greedo's conversation, this is about visual editing, not trimming out the fat, if you want to see the original theatrical version, I recommend Project 4K77 or Harmy's Despecialised, both are decent. This is a Fan Edit channel, not Lucasfilm.

The fan edit is the only one that makes sense. How the hell does jabba get 10 times bigger in all proportions in just a few years.

Letting Solo step on Jabba's tail was a mistake. Jabba would have had him killed right there for that indignity!

The hologram version you've done here is hands down the best one. It makes the most sense and fits. However, I do prefer not to see this scene in the film. The hologram is definitely the best alternative though.

The hologram edit makes the most sense. I don’t think Jabba would make it to the docking port knowing him from ep 6

I dig the hologram edit. It removes that hanky bit of him "walking" over Jabba.

I like almost everything about the hologram edit the most out of all of these, BUT I don’t think this cut to Han’s legs and Jabba’s hologram machine at 0:42 works at all. Cutting to Chewie like every other version fits a lot better imo. Still, this is an insanely impressive edit that looks really darn good!!!

All 4 versions have been synced up, hence why some sequences pause etc...

The problem with this scene is that no matter how good it's made to look, it completely ruins the eventual reveal of the gargantuan, terrifying Jabba the Hutt in ROTJ. This scene portrays him as a complete joke... It's also totally unneeded – Greedo explaining that Han has a price on his head sets up the stakes just fine.

This makes a lot of sense why Han called Jabba a wonderful human being. Jabba was originally a human before he became a mutant ninja.

The hologram edit should be the definitive for the special editions.
