10 Things Every Beginner Skateboarder Should Know How To Do Well (longest title yet, ha)

This one is aimed towards helping out beginners learn to be more comfortable on the board while trying to teach some practical things at the same time. These are all simple concepts, but they are important to being comfortable on your board. Hopefully, if you can get all of these down really well, it will help you in the future when you're trying to learn new things.

Having a strong foundation of board control and confidence is what leads to progression and continuing having fun.

Thank you for watching! :)

p.s. more 10 easy trick type videos coming soon!

Falling properly is something that a skater should definitely know how to do. I would have included it in this video but I already had 10 things so I'll make a separate video about that. ;)

Thanks for this one man. My son really needed to see this. He is always getting upset that he doesn't know enough tricks. I try to tell him, to just ride and the tricks will come.

I have been skating since the mid 90's. In my opinion the single best way for beginners to learn balance is honestly just to do manuals like crazy.

I like that you’re not making fun of beginners, and are giving us information that is helpful.

“Gotta crawl before you walk, walk before you run, and fall before you crawl.” These are the tings that if not learned well will cause newbies to quit. Reading, puzzles, playing an instrument, and SKATeBORDING everyday keeps you young in mind and body.  I've been skating since the summer of 1974. I was 10. This is a great tutorial and well filmed etc. Thanks for making a difference for both skaters and non-skaters alike.
