Whether they survived or not, just escaping the prison is a major miracle.

I’ve seen hours and hours of this topic, and you have just made the ultimate video on it man. Everything was very well said, we’ll spoken, factual, descriptive, and you got this tone that sets the stage but doesn’t go over the top like lots of these other people who cover things, keep it up man!

The fact that the prison closed shortly after this happened should speak volumes..

It's a group of swimmers who swim across the channel from Alcatraz to San Francisco every year, the oldest was 100 years old, and they all made it. my friend was 57 years old and finished fifth so I strongly believe they were able to escape.

There are no sharks in San Francisco Bay and people swim it all the time. They had a boat waiting for them.

Escape from Alcatraz with Eastwood is such a good film. One of first movies i watched on HBO in early 80s when my parents got cable.

I feel a bit sorry for Morris. Just looking at those early mug shots and then hearing his rough start resonated with me. I do think they made it.

Having visited Alcatraz twice a few decades ago I recall how close the mainland seemed but how treachorously perilous the waters would be to navigate in a makeshift raft. This brilliantly constructed and delivered analysis makes one wonder perhaps these men did in fact escape and survive.Intrigueing storytelling here.!

I took the Alcatraz tour with my son in the 80’s. The cells were so small and they showed us the dining room. It was fun!

This was really well done. I too want to believe they were successful in their escape and made their way to Brazil, stayed out of trouble and enjoyed the rest of their lives as free men.

An ingenious plan well thought out and executed you almost wish they had and maybe they did Great video

This is one of my favourite escape stories, this video is very well put together just like the escape plan. Keep on growing your channel and all the best.

Based on my research (I lived in SF for 20 years) - they made it and survived. All 3 of them were very capable individuals.

I’ve heard this story so many times, but for some reason it never stuck. Like it was interesting but not interesting enough to stick, but the way you told it kept me watching and wanting more. I’ve subbed you and I’m looking forward to your future content. Thank-you for having such amazing storytelling prowess—it’s truly awesome. I truly enjoyed this.

For the three convicts who escaped on June 11, 1962, if the frigid, turbulent waters surrounding “The Rock” didn’t expiate their escape, eventually time overcomes everyone. The youngest escapee, Clarence Anglin AZ-1485, as of this writing, would be 92 years old.

I imagine these 3 men met up in Brazil with DB Cooper, they all drank some Cachaça and patted each other on the back for their astonishing successes. 😄

If all three drowned, at least one of them or body parts would have been recovered. They found nothing except the stuff the guys ditched to make it look like they drowned. I believe they got away.
