We can thank the Federal Reserve and Congress for the inflation.

It’s all regulations and taxes. And pay stays the same.

Yes, but the rich men north of Richmond saw fit to hike the price to break our country.

It’s sad that people don’t realize what inflation does until they are older. If young people understood it they would be throwing a fit but instead they want government to give free money.

Gas needs to be more expensive. Its heavily subsidized in the usa and also doesn't cover externalities of autodependency

And just think about the amount of this same house costing you only like around $1300 + labor from like the Sears catalog in the early 1900's so figure out how much % it's gone up in price and interest since those times same house prices for 1900's 30's 50's 80's 00 and 2023... I d guess that it's gone up probably like 5000% give or take..

It would be more accurate to at least figure in the inflation. From June 1960 to June 2023 inflation puts the house price equivalent as $124, 000. Therefore the price has roughly doubled. Shocking, yes, but at least it is accurate.
Gas price of $0.31 in 1960 with inflation would be $3.12. Considering increases in taxes and reformulations to eliminate lead, 60 cents isn’t all that shocking.

In 1960 if you had $12, 000 in silver you could buy a $12, 000 house. Today if you had that same silver you could buy a $240, 000 house.
