I’m a historian and the fact you got your self a ww2 British gas mask early version is wild I’ve been looking for a original gas mask for a while and can’t find one that not over priced

Dude, I’m a gas mask nerd and I instantly winced when you put on that old mask in the begging. Just remember, if you want a mask because you are a prepper do not EVER trust old masks. Go to companies like MIRA Safety and Avon, they are pretty pricey but if you want something that will protect you should not cheap out. Another thing to remember is that most of issues were with the Asbestos in the filter so don’t cheap out on an old expired one. Get a modern NATO filter. You also have to check your masks filter size to make sure you get the right one. Stay safe and be prepared everyone!

Fun fact: The type 95 ha-go Japanese ww2 tank used aspesstos to keep the tank cool, it worked but the crew was exposed to it all the time which now we know is not good for anyone.
