If you still have this problem, try this: double-click the script. After VS being opened, right-click on you solution and click in "Reload project with dependencies". It worked for me.

There are tons of videos claiming that their one fix solves all Visual Studio Intelligence issues, this is one of the few that acknowledges that there are a bunch of potential issues and fixes. Great video! I'm sure I'll be back again in a few months since this happens every time I start a new Unity project.

The External Tools method helped me so much! Before that i had a Problem with some of the Functions like "Private void Awake" i had so many Errors until i saw that i didn't started the function name with a capital letter
