If you’re terrified of rejection in life and at work, this might be why…
Every human being has a need to feel accepted for who they are. And when we’re young, we’re especially sensitive to this.
Plus any lack of acceptance or downright rejection is turned back on ourselves, feeling like we’re at fault.
It could’ve been something ongoing, in a close relationship. Or it could have been a one-time thing, that forever changed how we see ourselves in relation to the world.
And who knows what those experiences even were?!
But if we’ve ever had a defining experience of not being accepted of who we are, we tell ourselves stories about being afraid of rejection and having that need unmet.
