Tempo in Exercises

Показать описание
❌ DON’T: Skip your tempo prescription
✅ DO: Honor tempo for control, consistency, and quality
Tempo dictates how many seconds to take on each part of a movement.
For example: Tempo - 4 1 X 2 =
4️⃣ down (eccentric)
1️⃣ second pause at the bottom (isometric)
✖️ up (concentric)
2️⃣ second pause at the top (isometric)
Some great reasons to follow your tempo:
➡️ Elicit specific responses from training
➡️ Target a particular portion of the movement
➡️ Improve motor control
➡️ Reduce nervous system stress with lower loads
➡️ Encourage muscle breakdown and growth
➡️ Control progression from week to week
Tag a buddy or a client who needs a reminder to HONOR TEMPO! 😊
