I remember growing up everyone in my family cooked their greens in some sort of smoked pork meat. Seems that once I got older, most people I knew ate less pork. So when I finally decided to cook greens, I cooked them in smoked turkey and they tasted amazing! So, one day I cooked some for a dinner and gave my grandmother a taste while they were nearing the end of the cook. She told me that my greens were dry due to turkey meat not having a lot of fat and instructed me to add a little veg. oil into them. Can you say it was a game changer. The oil made the texture amazing!! That was over 15 years ago and I have used a little oil with my greens ever since. RIP Granny.

It's awesome. I smoke the legs, thighs, and wings. I use them in my pinto beans and collards. I just picked collards again last Sunday. They love cold weather. This looks yummy. Merry Christmas.✝️

I had to leave a comment! In my family, everyone volunteers me to make the collard greens since my mama passed a few years ago. But since your video, I have been adding the hot sauce and worcestershire sauce in with your standard seasonings and it is a game changer!

I have made these greens 3 times in 2 months and my family didn't think my greens could get better. Thank you!!!

Hi there. I use smoke turkey meat for all my soups, greens, and wat ever needs that taste to bring it all together great stuff. You keep on with your love for food, and keep on giving the love you give us. It takes a good life time to achieve how you cook to get to know your products, and food to make your taste buds sing loud, and clear, and you are young, and all ready a master at your crafting food. 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽👏🏼👏🏻👏 Let the taste buds sing.... ☺️

Now that's how you do it up right. My grandma always threw in some sugar to take away the bitterness of the greens and made a cake of cornbread on the side....ain't nothin' better than that! Great video!

I grew my own greens this year for the first time. Took 5 months to harvest and have eaten from them 3 times. No meat with mine. Vegan style greens seasoned to perfection.
