I should add, I am on a journey to start a career in cyber security but before I can do that, I must first secure an entry-level role in IT like help desk. I didn't even know what a ticketing system was until I came across your tutorials. I am truly grateful.

For accessing G drive. Since we already got the file path, I believe it would be easier to check the drive on AD and confirm if the user is added under members. If so, then we can continue by remoting to the users PC, right click on "this pc" and select map network drive.
