People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care

This is it! Your prospect feels whatever energy you bring to the table. If you genuinely care, they can feel it!

I think realising that as a creator that does commissioned work, you are not a finished product (like a bottle of Coca Cola) that will serve a single predestined purpose. As a creator you are the manufacturer of what that finished is supposed to be. So selling “I have done this and I can do that” without aligning yourself with your client is the reason you become like a finished product, that can be substituted because there’s a lot of people like that in the market, instead of being the manufacturer of the creation and not a duplicate.

When you build rapport, you build trust. Your clients will always remember how you treated them and will return or refer others. Be yourself, be kind, listen, talk less about yourself... Let your attentiveness speak for you.

What matters to you. So brilliant. Makes so much sence why not just be real and do what we are supposed to…. Serve.

“What matters to you “ their answer is rarely the real the answer

Might be a bit better to have pointed out that building rapport is the first step to trust which in turn may lead to a sale; or, tell me i'm wrong, and correct me.
