Commercial educational softwares shouldn't be cited among Open Source, Maya/3DS max educational versions are not open source.

Blender will take over the market for sure.

The reason is skill”modeling” will be more and more less processes to the finish with quantum computing and deep learning sorts of computer progression.

Near future, artists require real skill of art and architect, product design, and brain type of Dali.

Ik u made this like 2 years ago but Source filmmaker or (SFM) for short is great. Its very easy to use and it's looks great and also has keyframes.

The only Open Source softwares in this video is Blender and Wings 3D. Please don't confuse free as in beer with free as in speech.

Wings 3D is better than you are saying it is. I am able to create some rather complex models and UV map them in Wings 3D. It does not have the features of a lot of other programs, but for what it actually does, it is excellent. Rigging and animating is not included, but you can take the models you create in it to other programs for those steps.

I like Wings 3D because it is a very easy to use program, and I know what to expect from it. And yes it can be used professionally if the user so chooses.

Your descriptions seem to be coming from a point of little experience concerning certain of the programs you talked about here. Wings 3D is improving. yes it is easy to learn for beginners; however, the possibilities are quite good for doing professional modeling with this software. The most recent version has added a few new features, increasing those possibilities. For creation of complex hard body models, Wings 3D is excellent, and some simple soft body models are possible; though armature rigging would need to be done using other software. DAZ Studio is excellent for that part of the development of a soft body model. For that matter, DAZ Studio also does well with hard body model rigging.

What I'm trying to say is that almost all of the free programs that are available can be and are used for professional work. Sure, paid for software is the standard of the professional 3D CG production community; but it is not what is used by all of them. Quality is what makes a production, and it can be had from free software just as well as from paid for software. What counts is how well the software being used is known by the user. The better the user knows a particular program, the better that which is created through its use. That goes for both free and paid software.

Technically, Goggle did not start Sketchup. They bought the company 5-6 years after it was released by the original developers.

Only Blender and Wings3D are open source (free to get the code), the others are Priority/Commercial applications.

Sculptris, Wings3D and Sketchup can't do animation.

It's funny to see DAZ software mentioned in a list of the best 3d animation software. Young guys won't remember how 15 years ago, using DAZ or Poser software was considered "cheating" in 3d animation and was the bastard children of CG, intended only for the lowest end of low-end production and hobbyist level rendering. I guess one or two notable animated features using the software changed all that, but yeah it was something NO ONE used to consider or admit they used if they were trying to become a CG artist back in the day.
