I’m not sure, but I think that there’s a plugin named Gaffer for Blender, which serves the purpose of easy lighting and managing lights in a Blender scene. And then there’s also the Completely different software named Gaffer, which is not what is shown in the video.

A few seconds into the video.. i noticed an error when you mention fusion. Fusion is NOT open source

Don't forget Unreal Engine 4 which makes the Quixel Suite free and connects to Unreal. It's a game engine but can be used for a lot of this. Someone made a shortfilm in Unity, also

This footage of blander is so old. Blender 2.79 and older, we are on 2.82a as of now.

What is the work flow for all of this software and how would they fit together in a topical project? Thx.

It's nice you enumerated them, but for a beginner, the terms used are pretty high-level, it would have been nicer if you could have masticate the info yourself and present only a comparison info to us about these software apps, or just a summary of what they can do, in a more accessible terminology.
But nevertheless, you named your clip "visual effects software open source" so you are not obliged by your title to provide what I said, maybe another "comparing visual effects software open source" clip would be needed for that.

Anyways, I liked your clip, gave you thumbs up, but couldn't be very useful for me, other than just have the list of ten open-source video 2D and 3D compositing software on the industry. The list itself is valuable, thanks !
