As of ballet dancer recommend getting second skin and using the same tape you use on top of it works really well

More and more I realize how this is a lifestyle that's costly and painful, but I admire the effort, and it must feel rewarding as hell!

This is off topic I don't even like hiking but just imagine. You find someone that is equally obsessed with an hobby and you can share it and the greatest time of your life's together. Just wonderful!

My friend who backpacks 70+ mile hikes often swears by wearing toe socks. She says that while everyone else on the trail has blisters, she is free of them!

Damn her feet are cleaner than mine and she’s hiking like 24/7

Hot tip with leukotape, it will rip skin off. If you have a very sensitive or raw spot, always good to put a little gauze or cotton on the wound so you don’t have the same problem again when you take the tape off

Definitely recommend hydrocolloid bandaids, they create a cushion over the blister and are waterproof and super sticky

I LOVE this couple; they're so mat/pat (ernal). If Mister Rogers had like a couple's hiking show, this would be it. May they live a thousand years and not age a day

Humans are amazing. For me, this would be a nightmare, but I see how happy you guys are and it makes me smile. I'm so happy to see you doing what you love!

I’m doing weekly hikes to build the chops for a section hike. I’ve discovered that I have a dislocated small toe that I got a year ago. The intensive hiking has made the dislocation noticeable to a 10 at times. I’m VERY glad I’m doing these training hikes, to get stuff like this figured out and fixed before the main effort! Huzzah!!

Hydrocolloid patches for blisters are the best! It will soak up all the excess fluid, keep out bacteria and promote wound healing. It’s what we use for pimples too.

I love your videos <3 How do you entertain yourself while walking? What do you talk about? And how do you resolve arguments while being stuck with each other 24/7?

You can use moleskin, just cut a hole around the blister to stop any contact with sock, wearing sock liners also helps. I did a 2 week trip in the New Mexico Wilderness roughly 100 miles and this helps

Hydrocolloid bandaids are a life saver for me! If you haven’t given those a try yet I definitely recommend it
