The Orton-Cena feud was overkill. Orton was already established and had won multiple titles before his feud. Edge-Cena was necessary to build Edge into a bigger Star and the businesses top heel. Looking back I don’t remember seeing a boring match between the Edge and Cena.

Now that I look back on it, I think Cena should have faced Edge at WrestleMania 22 instead of Triple H.

I did but looking back it was one of John Cena’s best fueds. Edge didnt look like he could physically hang with Cena, but i was wrong. Edge is tall, he has mic game. I shouldve invested a little more lol but i do love that fued now.

Their feud definitely wore out its welcome by 2009. WWE had a habit of dragging on feuds until they wore out their welcome during this period. Cena-Edge, Orton-HHH, Cena-JBL and especially Csna-Orton.

I didn’t think it was overkill and while the full timeframe of their first feud was ten months they weren’t feuding for that entire time. They had the short initial feud before Cena and HHH. It restated at one night stand and ran for around four months. So the total time was more like 5 months or so total with a lengthy break between. And the time it lasted made sense. I never was tired of it at the time.
