Good luck with literally any of these NPC questlines.

I heard early on that the general rule of thumb is that if you can't lock onto them, they're a non-hostile NPC, but yeah that's rough I'm so sorry ;-;

For the record that particular sleepy sausage is too tired to actually talk to you. Perhaps if you were to offer some kind of healing item...

I'll never emotionally recover from taking too long to complete Boc's questline. You **ARE** beautiful, you strange little monkey-man!

ohhh i also didn’t understand wtf the guy next to moore meant when he mentioned foragers, and i would most definitely attack those bugs after our history in caelid.. so THANK YOU!!

My very first playthrough I had to throw away at 7 hours, because I accidentally killed Boc in the demi human cave where he was beat up. I was testing a new Ash of war that I had gotten and it turns out it had a huge AoE and killed him. So I started over.

Handy thing to note about Elden Ring, if you can't lock onto it, it's probably friendly

The first one of those I found after talking to Moore I hopped off my horse to start whacking it but briefly glimpsed a talk button before my first swing connected. When it didn't fight back I realized it was an npc. Quitting out and reloading reset it and I was able to talk to it, almost scuffed it.

I did screw up Moore's quest line later anyway on accident but I did get his armor so I'm alright with it haha (chunk boi armor ftw, its my favorite)

Omg I attacked that exact kindred of rot but realized he didn't attack me back, so I felt bad and just let him be. Later, I talked to another one who gave me the cookbook and THEN I realized that Moore was talking about them.

I think the only Kindred of Rot that are enemies are red ones.

That's sneaky. In a game where 90 percent of things are trying to kill you, or to activate things you have to attack them, of course you're going to smash them up if you don't know what they are.

Ngl, even knowing the foragers were friendly, it took a lot of self-control to not murder them due to my hatred & disgust with the kindred pests.

FYI you could've just run away from Moore and used one of the 20 celestial dews you likely have lying around at the turtle pope's church .

There’s always next playthrough! The great thing about ER is that you know there’s gonna be one… :D

Accidentally killed the same kindred of rot. Accidentally killed Alexander the Jar Guy. Killed Fia because she was asking for it. My method of doing quests is to just kill the npc and then I don't have to do them.

Made the same mistake while looking for enemies to try out my new build

You can heal them with warming stones and they will give you stuff

Literally the same one that trapped me 😂

I had the same experience minus getting to even meet Moore. As a consolation, the armor and shield are great.

I did the exact same thing, his armor is neat but now I'm missing a cookbook and a friend forever, tragic
