Good content mate.
The midnight "refresh" race that you discussed is the most painful part of this :)

My tip is planning a holiday, and booking accommodation and paying for flight taxes on your next churning rotation, so easy. Have accumulated about 3M points over the past 6 years. Admittedly its getting harder and harder to churn, even with a large salary, property and mortgages I'm finding Amex especially and a few others denying applications now.

Nice video mate. Good points, however, if you can't get a credit card or don't have one, its not as easy to accumulate points. I'm mainly using a 'Bank West Qantas Platinum Debit' card and the Qantas Pay card, and even thought its slower, at least its better than nothing.

The taxes when flying emirates business via Qantas rewards are ridiculous

Thank you Raymond for cutting through a lot of the small print for us. Re churning cards - I'm finding that if I've already held a (eg Qantas) card that earns points then I am excluded from applying for 18 (or so) months for any other points earning credit card for the same airline. How do you get around this, or do you apply for cards that favour a whole heap of different airlines?

Singapore airlines points expiry doesn’t work the same as Qantas or Virgin. Earning more points doesn’t stop the 36 month expiry.

Great video as always! Love your content! Hey just have one question, I was wondering if it's better to go all in on velocity points or quantas points to get flight in business class, I watched all videos and it seems like it is really hard to find quantas points seats . Really want to start this as I run 2 business could accumulate points but just want to make the right choice 😊
Thanks

Niko

Nice video bro! Love how you are spending $3000 on HSBC Visa card then showed AMEX which is less accepted 😂. I had to get these gift cards when they had the 20x bonus points to cover those that aren’t accepting Amex.

However, I do wonder though isn’t your credit record/score going to be affected though if you open a new credit card every few months and cancel it to get another one time after time?

Awesome stuff, the churning of the credit cards is definitely the best tip. I have a credit rating of 870+ on both Experian and Illion, doing 3-4 credit applications a year would severely impact that I would imagine? Would it matter ultimately even if it did?

How did you know when Virgineas about to release the rewards seats??

BUT isnt the credit card churn / rinse and repeat be detrimental to your credit score ?? Or is that just what they say so you dont churn

I think you your points are great information, but I’ll put this to you if you’re in a position where you are flexible and with your travel dates etc. You could work the system to.
Deals, but if you have commitments etc that are significant business or personal or other the availability of seats in business class or first class is almost impossible to achieve
I’ve got one and a half million Qantas points and I’m struggling to use them unfortunate enough to be able to travel business or first internationally and pay for
But I’ve stopped using my AMEX card because frankly the points are useless
What really counts is status credits your AMEX points that you accrue mean nothing to the airline but everything to AMEX? So Qantas treat you completely differently. It’s your status credits based on flying that gets you benefits from
Frankly, this whole points situation globally is becoming something of a scam and I’m sure the regulator is very soon will crack down as they should particularly on Qantas which is still nowhere near where it used to be in relation to customer service

Personally I don’t think business class flights are a good idea as emissions are substantially higher due to additional space they take over economy
