This is good stuff! I may not be joking when I'm saying that perhaps the biggest obstacle I've found when it comes to learning how to sing is the ability to remember lyrics. I have a tendency to be quite tense whilst performing because I'm afraid I will forget the lyrics (or timing) of the song. It pulls me out of the feeling and emotion of a song and into my head, also making me sing with less freedom and quality.

Talking about timing, rhythm and the general melodic structure of the song: Do you have any specific tips for memorizing that?

I've chosen a song called " A Dios Le Pido". I will memorize this song because I am learning Spanish. I think that is a very good idea. I wish I can memorize "heart sutra" but it is very difficult and I don't understand the words. To memorize the song I think I need to understand the words, don't I?
