Thanks!! Been complaining to the landlord for 6 months about my pipe. Finally just fixed it myself. So far so good. Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

You’re supposed to wrap the ferrule (olive) only. Works every time! Thanks for making the vid. I’m sure it’ll help the average homeowner.

After taking a few wrong turns (jb water weld/water seal tape) and putting this off until it couldn't be ignored (drain cups filling up too fast!), I was ready to give up. This really helped out and stopped me from making an expensive call.

Fantastic fix. Not only did it stop my joint dripping, It also stoped my ears ringing. And she made me a cup of tea.👍

It WORKED!! I have tried 3 times to stop the leak but none of them succeed. After watching this video, I realized that I did it wrong by putting the Taflon tape on the thread instead of the sleeve on the 1/2" pipe. The leak finally stopped! Thank you so much for making this video. It's really helpful.

From the absolute lad who helped me out when I didn't know what way to twist my radiator to close it off!

Worked great! Replaced the old valve with a new one, but it leaked.  Did not want to cut the copper pipe, so I tried this trick and it fixed the leak.  Thanks

I was trying to find the "perfect tightness" - not too much nor too little - to stop oozing from joint of new faucet water lines to existing copper inlet pipes, when my wife suggested YouTube. This was the only site I needed. 5 min. later the job was done and no leaking. Good job, Al!! Next time I will proactively apply tape and prevent a lot of frustration.

I appreciate the video. Just had to install some compression fittings, and one of them waited until the next day to start weeping. Tightening made it worse, but the ptfe on the ferrel seems to have solved it. Thank you!

great advice! - I really like the targeted approach of PTFE ahead of the olive - worked a charm.
