EASY: How To Fix a Leaky Sink - Leaking from Handle or Faucet

Показать описание
Water can cause alot of damage in a short period of time. Fixing water leaks quickly and correctly can save you money in the long run. This sink was leaking from the hot water handle. The issue ended up being the o-ring on the valve stem. If you have a dripping faucet, the most likely culprit is the valve seat. I show you how to repair both in this video. I will include links to parts below.

I'm a fairly good DYI'er and I'd have to say this is one of the BEST videos I've seen on YouTube. I appreciate the step-by-step concise instructions. Well done!

Thank you for making this video. I had never done the job before, and it was so incredibly easy.

The only thing I learned that was not from your video was that if you’re replacing the valve stem assembly too, Delta ships it oriented correctly for the hot line, and you have to rotate the stem for the cold line.

I was not sure if I needed a new washer, new spring or the whole assembly, so I put in all new parts. All my parts were less than $25, so you saved me at least $150, since my plumber charges min $175 to come out!

Easy to follow instructions. Probably saved my faucet and a couple hundred dollars.

I paid a plumber $100 to do this for me and he literally did everything in the video. I could have done it myself cause this was so detailed. Thank you

Thank you for this video, I just fixed my first faucet! No more leaks and hopefully no more hard water buildup around the faucet. (Had to soak a paper towel in vinegar and let it sit for a WHILE to get the hard water deposits off the area around the handle) It looks and works SO much better now!

Just wanted to add yet another thank you for this vid. My faucet handle has been leaking a little from the base or a while because I didn't know how to fix it and it didn't appear to be dripping down into the sink cabinet or anything. Well, thanks to this vid I realized all I needed was a $3.50 repair kit and $4 grease from Home Depot and I fixed it in under five minutes. Much appreciated!

Thank you for a very helpful video. It was not exactly the same tap fitting, but the stem was and I successfully changed the stem. No more leaking tap! Thanks once again.

I finally fixed my bathroom faucet that was dripping for a couple of months through your video. I only spent $25 on Amazon to buy the parts. Thank you very much!

I watched two other videos on how to fix this issue and this one was the magic one. What did it for me this time was the rubber gasket and spring that goes into the bottom. The screwdriver trick to get it in there was also great. Thank you!

Thanks for your very easy to follow instructions it saved me from having to pay someone to make this repair. My only problem was the star key screw and the nut they were on super tight or staring to corrode. I replaced the o-ring and the valve seat but still had the leak from the hot water handle. Replaced the valve stem and that fixed the problem. Can't thank you enough.
