I’m an entrepreneurship major so I feel like I can give my opinion: I like it. It’s fun and you learn a lot about the back end of business. I think if you really want to start your own business it can be very helpful. But don’t go for your bachelors. I’m in an associates program and Ive learned so much but 75 percent of knowing how to start a business is through real world experience. I say get either an associates or a certificate and then go grab a couple of internships for startups or smaller companies where you can really get involved with the process. Hope this helped! 🌸

I’m in an Entrepreneurship major now and I love it, for those that say the tuition isn’t worth it I disagree, learning in school saves the money spent on trial and error early on especially without a mentor or something like that

I'd say an Entrepreneurship degree is only worth it if you plan on dual focusing. It can be good for strengthening your resume if you're interested in Project Management or Business Consultancy positions. I'm an International Business graduate, and I plan on adding a MSc in Entrepreneurship just for the focused specialization on my resume. I've also worked on my own businesses on the side, and I'd say the added information is always a bonus. Note: I wouldn't spend a crazy amount on tuition for this major unless you plan on following it up with a more affordable graduate concentration too. Grad school can sometimes be a bit more affordable too. Especially if you're utilizing your Bachelors to obtain employment first.

40 years as an entrepreneur here and I completely agree with Shane. When I started my first business my goal was to at least last 5 years. After the fifth year the goal was 10, then 20, then 25....you get my point. I semi-retired after 35 years and sold out. It was gratifying and satisfying but it’s definitely not for everyone. When I first opened up I went without paying myself for months. I worked 16 hour days and rarely took a day off. Vacations? Ha, it was 20 years before I took a full week off. So if you really want to own your own business, and be one of the few that last, be ready to work. Full disclosure: I don’t have an entrepreneurship degree but hold 4 unrelated degrees and have worked since age 11.

Stumbled upon this video because I am thinking of taking on an entrepreneurship minor. I'm currently successfully pursuing Computer Engineering as my major and my assumption is that pairing it with some business-related degree will be a great combo. Plus I started enjoying learning how economic part of companies functions.

No degree is useless. But I do think some degrees are riskier than others. I feel that the risk level must be accounted for in each degree.

I didnt get an entrepreneur degree however I did within the media realm and entrepreneur is sadly not what I expected. I thought I would be learning happy shark tank products but instead I learned that theres a crisis in companies sadly and within recording industries, social media inventors, headquarters, fast food fancy smancy places, and etc. In addition, the essay for my course wasnt really fun cuz sadly I just felt like that I was venting in my essay and to the pple acquaintances that just went through a bypass of everything and getting hired

Much better to get a *employable* degree in the field you want to start a business, get connections and experience in the field, then think about being an entrepreneur

If your an entrepreneur than you don't necessarily have a salary. You can basically record your profits from your business and count that as your pay.

There's a course in Entrepreneurship and Team leadership in a Finnish University called Tampere University of Applied Sciences. I have heard it is a very interesting and innovative entrepreneurship program which focus more on practical aspects rather than theory. So I suppose the university or the course structure matters. It's always better to learn extra skills and certificates on side while doing your college degree
