The P Series Quantum X 2020 is Vizio’s top-end 4k LED TV and we’ve finally managed to buy it. We reviewed the Vizio P Quantum X last year and it was a great TV, so let’s see if there are new improvements this year. Does it hold up?

On paper this things looks like the one I want to by this year but the more I look into it the more I am turning away. The bugs I keep hearing about, the quality control and the lack of quality updates that actually fix things make me not want to get this.

This TV is a POS. Thanks for the review this review and the LTT has convinced me to go buy a Sony TV since stupid Samsung doesn't support Dolby Vision.

I own the P75QX-H1 and love it. Yes there have been bugs but so has every manufacture this year if not every year. I primarily watch sports and movies and this thing looks amazing. Dolby Vision looks outstanding on this. Through some adjustments based on Rtings settings this thing is working great. PS5 comes out next month and we will see how that does with this TV. I am guessing once the new consoles/graphic cards become more prevalent, the bugs for HDMI 2.1 and 4K @ 120Hz/VRR will be resolved. This TV is miles ahead of my 2015 4k (Non-HDR) Vizio M-series. Planning on waiting for the Vizio Elevate review before going ahead with that, but looking forward to the eARC integration with this tv. Thanks for the good review. I am happy I bought it and plan to keep it for a good long time (5 year BestBuy warranty to ensure that).

Just bought a 2020 p quantum (non x version) literally the next day they dropped an update that fixes the 120hz vrr issues. So I’m super happy...

Nice Break Down.. I guess I will wait another year for HDMI 2.1 to be more standardized.

My 2019 75" px has bugs like crazy, after update randomly turns off. My p 65" in the other room had to be replaced, major issues. If Vizio had better qc they'd be a buy.

Now first I use this tv with an Nvidia Shield or Apple TV 4k. Today all issues with this TV are fixed.
This is a great buy. I got the 75 inches for 1499.99 about 6 months ago. I installed all the updates. I do turn off local dimming for SD content like Sling TV and Youtube TV.

The red tint is currently whats keeping me from buying this set. I have a 2019 M55 vizio and love it so I was looking forward to the X in 2020 but ill have to wait.

Still have my 2015 M Series. No HDR, VRR or HDMI 2.1, but it looks perfect. I won’t upgrade until the newer TVs run as smooth without issue.

Looks like it could be a decent gaming TV since it supports HDMI 2.1

They need to fire their us leadership and can their engineering team as well.
How many Vizio products end up being released that are just full of bugs?
There's really no excuse after how long they've been in business

I bought the P75QX-H1 a couple of months ago and am very happy with it so far. No red tint issue, awesome gray uniformity (I guess I won the VA panel lottery) and just really a great picture. All the John Wick movies look spectacular on UHD bluray. I'm on FW 5.10.15.5-4 and am hoping that future updates will fix some of the settings glitches like always reverting back to enhanced viewing angle on among a few others. Maybe by the time I can get my hands on a PS5 at regular price all the other issues with VRR will be solved

Did you guys ever retest this with firmware update that brought improvements to gaming features? Considering this is still part of Vizio's 2021 lineup, it would be nice. I think the update happened end of 2020 or early 2021. Nothing on your website about it.

Majorly bummed. I _thought_ I had found my TV for the next generation.
But after watching this, I'm no longer quite so stoked. Guess I'll keep looking.
The process of buying a TV is no fun; too hard to find "the one".
But thank you, Rtings.com ! I'd have wasted $ no telling how many times if not for you folks.

I purchased this tv the day that it was released. HDR was flickering vertically badly. I returned it and tried another one. This time HDR and VRR would not work in game mode (I tried multiple hdmi cables & sources). I bought a LG CX and haven't looked back.

I picked up this set as a Best Buy Demo after my Vizio PQ65-F1 decided to die and the whole logistics thing had started with no good TVs out there. I really wanted the 85" model, but it pretty much had doubled overnight in price. I have no red issues (however; I am red green shade blind...usually I can see if there is a problem though almost like a greyscale uniformity pattern). It's been a great TV. I don't game on it so can't comment on that, nor do I use the built in speakers (however; one day someone turned the internal speakers back on and I didn't realize for a while that my home theater wasn't working, but that was late night so I was listening at lower volumes).

Had. Vizio m 658 can't compete with Sony or Samsung for upscaling and processing lot of bugs why there cheap!

What good is a wide color gamut with a red tint?
